Fig Jam
Makes 800g
Ingredients
- 375g Fruit for Life Dried Figs,
sliced in half
- zest from 1 lemon
- 200g white sugar
Soak figs over night to soften. Add lemon zest. Cook on medium heat for 3 hrs, making sure there is always enough water to cover figs. Add sugar and turn up high, keep stirring until sugar has dissolved for about 10 minutes. Test jam on a plate, place in the fridge to set. Turn jam down to low heat. When the test jam is cool, it should not move around the plate. If it is still too runny, place back on heat and keep testing until you get the consistency you prefer. Pour into sterilised jars, while still hot and seal. > Print recipe
